# Usage

> Every avatar session, with its duration, rate and cost.

The **Usage** page lists your latest 200 avatar sessions, newest first. A session is billed per second from the moment the avatar's video is ready until the connection closes.

At the top, three totals cover this month (UTC): **minutes**, **spend** and **sessions**.

## Columns

| Column | Meaning |
| - | - |
| **Started** | When the session started |
| **Avatar** | The avatar ID, such as `ava4` |
| **Source** | What started it: an API key's name, or a voice agent's name followed by *(agent)*. Shows *deleted* when the key or agent has since been deleted. |
| **Duration** | How long the avatar was live |
| **Rate** | The per-minute rate: $0.02 for API sessions, $0.06 for voice agent calls |
| **Cost** | What the session cost, to four decimal places |
| **Status** | **Live** while it runs, then **Completed** |

A session's cost appears once it ends. The number of live sessions also shows next to **Usage** in the sidebar.

## Voice agent calls

Each voice agent call is also an avatar session, so it appears here at the voice agent rate. For a call's transcript and how it ended, open the agent's **Calls** tab instead. See [Calls and transcripts](https://docs.talking-avatar.dev/voice-agents/calls.md).

## Where the money went

The [Billing](https://docs.talking-avatar.dev/dashboard/billing.md#credit-history) page's **Credit history** lists every change to your balance: credits added and each billed session.
